COVID-19 has exacerbated the racial and economic inequalities that exist in our society and the Stamford community can never truly be equitable if we don’t address these systemic issues. Our next mayor needs to implement data-based, innovative solutions that reduce these inequities and lift up all residents. As mayor, I would tackle these issues by:

• Focusing on inclusive economic growth that reduces poverty and provides all Stamford residents the opportunity to pursue their dreams and thrive.

• Establishing a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Plan that highlights how we can advance racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights, women’s rights, and immigrants' rights across all Stamford government offices. 

• Prioritizing diversity within my administration and on board and commission appointments.

• Making Stamford more affordable for all residents. 

• Ensuring that everyone in our community, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation, has access to resources that unlock a higher quality of life.
