According to a 2018 DataHaven Community Wellbeing Survey, only 40% of Stamford residents believe that our local government does a good job of being responsive. This is unacceptable. Governments work on behalf of the people and taking input and feedback from residents into account cannot be seen as a mere political checkmark, but must be a  key component to good governance. As mayor, strengthening constituent services and improving communication with Stamford residents would be of the utmost priority. I will focus on the following initiatives:

• Lifting up voices from all communities and prioritizing diversity with appointments, boards, and commissions. 

• Improving our methods for listening and responding to Stamford residents when they express concerns. 

• Proactively seeking input from Stamford residents in every neighborhood on how local government can better serve them.
